Hello! I’m Emil. I am a former Harvard computer science and AFVS student.
I'm currently on a leave of absence to build, observe, and experiment.
I’ve built low-latency financial order books and trading tools, a scaling solution on Ethereum, and robust full-stack applications in ML/AI.
Some other cool things I’ve done in the past include:
Infiltrating the underbelly of the crypto world: witnessing interactions between capital systems, distributed computing, and memetic narratives while traveling the world.
Creating a nationally-recognized 3-D art portfolio (of which this is one piece).
Going from 0-1 in full-stack engineering in a few months while reading Infinite Jest (almost) from cover to cover.
Right now, I’m thinking about:
Building novel media and connection layers.
Developing in augmented reality.
Theories of history and incentive-alignment.
Overall, I am motivated by playing around with
abstract/novel concepts, meta-analysis, and the process of striving.
In my free time, you may find me playing competitive Catan/Mario Kart, reading rationalist propaganda, or in an underground techno club.
Talk to me about anything, but especially about transhumanism, Jungian cognitive functions, macroeconomics, and the intersection of technology and society.
